Fifth Week of Teaching Practice
Hi all, This blog is about the classes taken after the December exams and Christmas. Its been a great week. Students came back to school after a refreshing vacation. They were able to grasp the subjects in their content. Topic covered in this week: Heat capacity of water, Boiling Point of water, Freezing Point of water. Heat Capacity of Water Class began with the discussion on how water is used in radiator to regulate the heat in automobile engines and arrived at the concept of heat capacity of Water. The below-shown video of heat capacity of water is shown to students. Discussion points given: Which of two temperature reaches a higher value in a specified time? What happens to the temperature of water? Students were able to understand that " Water has the ability to hold more heat (heat capacity) when compared to other substances."
